The Archdiocesan Council of the Lay Apostolate and Integrated Movements (ACLAIM) of the Archdiocese of Davao held the 3RD Grand Marian Procession in the year 2009 full of faith and inspiration from the Divine Power of God through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The 3RD Grand Marian Procession gathered once again thousands of faithful people in the Archdiocese of Davao to culminate the Marian month of May with an offering of sacrifices and thanksgiving to God through the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Mama Mary as the Mother of God and our mother too is a woman of great faith helping us pray for peace and unity. Mama Mary is the hope of the world for all Catholic Christians.
Members of the ACLAIM with their Spiritual Director, Msgr. Paul Cuison, planned, prepared and prayed very hard for the success of the annual gathering of Marian devotees in the Archdiocese of Davao together in a grand procession.
The 3rd Grand Marian Procession commenced with a program inside the Holy Cross of Davao College gymnasium. A Eucharistic Celebration after the procession was officiated by Archbishop Fernando Capalla at the San Pedro Cathedral.
The Our Lady of Manaoag Prayer Community led the faithfuls in the enthronement of the Holy Bible, followed by singing of hymns and saying of prayers in praise and in worship to God.
Mr. Ed Pacana of the Archdiocesan Council of the Lay Apostolate and Integrated Movements, welcomed everyone to the blessed occasion. Meanwhile, the opening remarks were given by Msgr. Paul A. Cuison himself.
A Marian symposium was graced by heart-warming speakers of the Archdiocese of Davao, namely: Rev. Fr. Bong Dublan, Dr. Mike T. Manalaysay, and Dr. Ligaya Acosta, giving more enlightenment to Marian devotees present.
Songs for Mama Mary and Jesus were heartily rendered by Sta. Ana and St. Joseph Choirs which inspired Marian devotees all over the Archdiocese to strengthen more their faith to God with their continuous love for the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God. Unforgettably, the song “Maria, Rayna sa Pilipinas” invited one and all to an expression of faith that can move mountains.
